Today at work I got to make a powerpoint presentation.
Never make me do work before noon. Professionalism? Notsomuch. Basically, I made a presentation where I designed every slide in such a way that it made both the 23 and 35 year olds in my group laugh their asses off. It was meme-tastic.
Really, any day I can use "Lolz" "This!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1" "Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the atomic bomb" "use the force, Luke" as slide headers is a good day for me.
Final slide? Picture of a smiling pig. Why? Because it was amusing. Wrap it all in the stock pink-with-pretty-right-edge powerpoint format and you end up with a happy presentation that, despite all odds, actually contained all the pertinent information.
Maybe I'm just cheery because I have an actual coding interview tomorrow... part of me feels bad about leaving Dell so soon (hopefully) but the other half is "oh no! leaving a call centre for something that actually uses your degree! How TERRIBLE!"
Is everyone's internal monologue flippant?

I suppose I'll take amusing. Small victories right?
