MOTLEY CRUE RULES THE EARTH! Just saw them in Tampa and it was a fucking BLAST! Crue was the first concert I ever went to so I figured this would be my last chance to see them again, reunited. Vince even got most of the words right.
The day started out with lunch at Rachels Men's Club in Casselberry where we (me, Carrie, JP, and Denyse) met up with a few other people (Lucky and Tracee). It took us friggin' 4 hours to get to Tampa when it usually takes about 2. We were supposed to meet another guy in Tampa, but he had to work. After we told him how bad the traffic was, he turned around by the time he hit the 408 and skipped the show.
Once we parked, we headed over to Newk's for some drinks where we bumped into the guys from Dirrty Hairy. The worst service ever, but I guess it should've been expected. The place was packed.
I had forgotten my leather in my car back at home and was freezing my ass off, so I bought a $50 long sleeve Crue shirt.... ouch! The show started on time and rocked. We had great seats, 2nd level, Row A. They played a shit load of old stuff, but was a little surprised not to hear Smokin' in the Boys Room.
After the show, we headed back to Newks for more drinks.... I should've stopped when the show ended. On the way home, JP had to pull over in the I-4 median so I could puke. After that, I quietly passed out in the back seat. We got back home around 3:30 or 4 in the morning.
We all had a great night and made the most of it. I had too. It will probably be my last day off for the next month or two....
