This is a video of Japenese artist, Riusuke Fukahori, he paints in a very similar fashion as Keng Lye (the artist from Mondays blog). This video has some great footage of the process that these two spectacular artist go through to render their visually stunning pieces.

This is one of the most unique approaches to painting that I have seen in quite a while. The artist's name is Keng Lye, and he creates 3D paintings in resin. He achieves this by painting them layer by layer (i.e. he pours a thin layer of resin, lets it harden, paints the lowest elements of the subject he is creating, then repeats the process...

Not at that caliber, but I get out there from time to time. I enjoy stencil work, but I'm trying to develop my freehand. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to do any for a while since I started working overnight shifts last fall, so now I resort to canvas and other artistic endeavors.

So, are you currently in Portugal, or are you out and about in the world elsewhere?
