Hello everyone.
I have had a fairly eventful couple of days, I tell ya.
First off, my car broke down on me yet again, this time it was the heater hose T, a small peice of plastic that costs $33.72 apparently. I spent a good half hour at a gas station on Century ave. trying to diagnose this problem; after discovering said malfunction I maguyver'd it using duct tape. This was a good temporary fix; I just had to get it to Jason's (a friend of the family) car lot in Venice. From there I rode the bike they have there up past Pico to the Kragen in Santa Monica, cause they said that they have the part. Turns out that they didn't.
So...
I ask them were else I would be able to find this part. Their reply was very disheartening considering that the other place that they refered me to was on Venice, a meer 5 block away from Jason's, as apposed to the 10-12 blocks it was to get to the place I was, at that time, standing.
I get on the bike and ride back down to Venice and to my very dismay, discoverd that the place had already closed. The dude at the privious place also informed me of an AutoZone on Venice, however, it was actually on Washington. I didn't realize this until it was waaaaay to late.
Anywho, due to my returning empty handed two and a half hours after I left, the guys were so kind as to loan me Denise so I could get back to GangstaSwan's for the night. For those of you who don't know, Denise it a very problomatic Nissan Sentra that I have had the unique pleasure of driving all over this fair city at one time or another, for it is the standard loaner that they give me while they work on the Girthmobile.
Denise, or as I like to refer to her: Denise the Peice, and I have had some dissagreements in the past, on of the most memorable was when she blew her left front tire on the 405, taking out the a large cunk of her left fender and a sizable peice of her bumper. They still think that I crashed her into something, they swear that I'm lying to them when I tell them a blown tire is all that happened. Fuckers.
Anywho, I get home and Tigerangel IM's me about making a PSW version of the favorites bar that I made for SuicideBoys a while back. I also agreed to make a front page and the little Journal based set link system thingie that I have ^up here for them. I'm excited to do this, cause it means more exposure for my work.
The next morning I go to work, it's boring as usual.
Afterwars I roll on over to Jason's to get the part so I can take it to a place to see if they can match it. I just wind up going to the Cadillac dealership over on Bundy and Olympic. I get the part and fight the hainus rush hour traffic though Santa Monica, back to the carlot.
While Jimmy, the mechanic, is installing the part, I do a little (much needed) detailing to the Girthmobile. I got her chrome just BLINGIN'! It looks really nice, it brought a sence of satisfaction and a smile to my face.
After that, I went out to North Hollywood to do some work for an old friend of the family that' needs help selling a bunch of his crap on eBay before he moved to Tailand.
I finish sometime around 1a.m. Steve makes me a drink and we shoot the shit for about an hour. I then jump in my car and make the nice little treak home.
101 to the 5 to the 605 to the 405.
So in the last twenty-four hours, I've done one lap around Los Angeles in two different cars. It was awesome.
By the way, I haven't slept yet, I'm gonna wait until after work to sleep, or else I'm not going to make it to work.
Ahh, god bless the wonderfully evil person who invented caffene.
