How's it going everyone, long time no see.
Haven't really talked about life stuff in a year or so on here, so let's start way back in early 2020.
I finally quit my cleaning job. Was tired of complete shit management blaming us for stuff they refused to do. Main example... Not getting us supplies so we can do our job. Sites would call and complain that we aren't actually cleaning or are cleaning poorly. Kinda hard to clean when our bosses don't get supplies till a month or so after we tell him we need it. Now, I get certain things have been in short supply since COVID hit, but this was going on well before all that started. And speaking of COVID, one night at like 11pm, we get a call from our regional guy asking us to go back to a site to let a decontamination crew in the building, and stay to lock up afterwards, because they had multiple people test positive. He tells us this at 11pm and said he "forgot" to tell us earlier that day. Ok, that's it for them, I'll just keep going on and on about them if I dont force myself to stop.
So, moving on, early May now. My dad finally fired the asshole that worked with us. Something he really should've done 2.5 years earlier. Things are running much smoother now at the shop. We don't have cars coming back every week from other guy leaving stuff unplugged, not getting things tight, etc..
On to July... I got a raise from my dad and started another cleaning job, and the guy that runs this one actually gets me supplies!
Lets see... Oh, later in the year (I wanna say October-ish), I finally told this girl how I feel about her. Just told her I was sorry if it made things weird, but I had feelings for her and asked her if she would be up for getting dinner sometime. She said it didn't make anything weird and agreed to dinner. And 1 month, 2 covid scares, and 1 round of pneumonia later, we finally had it. We've only seen each other a couple times since because of COVID restrictions, but we still talk regularly. Ready for things to return to normal so I can take her out properly.
Now on to this year, earlier this week actually. I went to the doctor about some lower back pain again ( just one of the benefits of being a mechanic). The did their usual temperature check in the lobby to make sure I wasn't running a fever. (Had I been they would've taken me out and gone through the back door to a back room to reduce the risk of exposing anyone else). Nurse comes out and calls my name to go back to a room. We stop in the way to get my weight. I step up, and the scale read 298. Now, it's only by 2 pounds, but that is the first time in a VERY long time a scale has read under 300 for me. So I am very proud of that.
So there it is, the last year or so of my life. Now on to BIBHCO (it's been way too long since I've done one of these.)
