and i'm back!
wollongong was simply awesome. spent time with many close friends
we stayed with one of carl's closest friends todd. toddy's recently moved into a gorgeous 3-storey house with his lady. no-one could believe that a scummy (i mean that in the most affectionate way possible) punk kid from the ghetto could evolve into this. but the reality is he's a talented and sought-after tattoo artist and deserves everything he earns. this is carl and todd, todd's on the right.
oh yes, and U2 were fantastic! however, i shall never attend another stadium concert unless i'm on the ground up the front - i just felt too far away. but they had huge screens a massive non-stop lights show, it was just like their dvds but with the real-life atmosphere. i went with my brother and dad. my irish dad has been a fan since the band started, as such, his children have been fans since birth
after the two-hour concert i went to see my friend dik dj punk tunes at a metal/retro club called DV8. dik goes there every week, i really don't understand why. but it was good that night cos carl brought along the topnovil boys, who had hardly stopped drinking their whole melbourne tour! but most excitedly, my excellent friend Holly turned up and we disco danced til 5am! hell yeah!
since coming home i've worked, welcomed home my dad's delightful girlfriend from her actual home in montreal, played with my nieces and not a lot else. upcoming events include watching a soccer match tomorrow with various family members, a tattoo sit on monday, lunch with an old friend tuesday, possibly taking a notoriously flaky friend to get her nose pierced by carl wednesday, thursday and friday back to work, then another punk rock weekend!!! i will also have to find some money to buy my best friend the two remaining sin city volumes she is yet to own and then find time to give them to her for her birthday!
so generally, i can't complain. hope you guys are all ace! xox
