my powers of procrastination have no equal. i have a mountain of work to do, yet somehow i can manage to find ANYTHING and EVERYTHING but that mountain to be more important than actually getting it done.
last night after buffy was on, they showed this show that apparently has been running stateside, called "the bachelor", and i'm sure everyone knows how deplorable it is... but somehow we were drawn into it like some horrible train wreck full of southern girls, big boobs, and lots of catfights. how do those women live with themselves? and how can they be so stupid? i couldn't stop screaming, "just give him a fucking blowjob, and you'll make it to the next round!" it's not that hard to figure out.
stuff i'm thinking about:
1. tacos
2. chocolate martinis
3. architecture- what's your favorite building? i can't think of one because i'm surrounded by ugly aparment boxes... send me visions of lovely structures.
4. do you ever wish you could hibernate? i just want to fall asleep and wake up in february, all refreshed and in a big soft bed with cats and boy and wine waiting, in a house with wood floors where there isn't anyone upstairs to yell and argue and throw things at 11:32 every night.
my mind is blank today.
oops i forgot: bizarre english quote of the week. yesterday in my children's classes, oneof the kids ( a 6th grade korean harry potter lookalike) had a smurf bag. ( a bag featuring what looked like hefty smurf) underneath the smurf was written:
"They are happy without constraint and live in harmony with nature."
huh, i never thought of it that way! but, you know, it's true!

yeah.. it's really ghostly. the marx brothers, sarah bernhardt, harry houdini, etc.. used to perform at the palace.. it's really eerie exploring backstage where they used to get ready for shows.. i took photos for the theatre so i was able to spend a lot of time there.

i bet my powers of procrastination are better than yours hehehe
