Ah, almost but not quite. Both the one you're talking about and mine are Hawk moths, but not the same kind. Remember that I'm on a different continent, so there are very few things that naturally occur on both. :)

I lived ten years in Denver/Rocky Mountains. Miss those three foot blizzards! Africa, eh? You must love it there. My only connection is my mother's cousin Vera who relocated from Shanghai to Johannesburg after WW2. She visited once when I was a boy. Tall, silver haired, totally racist and smoked cigars!! Very exotic...

Very perceptive! It was actually little pellets of sleet which later turned into snow, but I wanted to get a video for you all before it got dark...
