Someone in the Dogs Group posted a link to this Doggy Daycare, so that we could let her know how her puppy was doing in her absence. Since then, I've been checking up on the new dogs staying there. Daily.
Right now there's a really sad puppy in the Deluxe Bunk Room. She's been howling since 7:00am.
Dear People at the Doggy Camp,
The puppy in the Deluxe Bunk Room is sad. She's bringing toys to the DOOR. For you! She wants out! Can't you hear her howling? For goodness sake, SOMEONE PLEASE take this puppy to pee or to play so that I can get back to work and stop feeling so miserable!
Thanks, Ginny.
p.s. The poor doggie just peed on her bed. See?!?!!
p.p.s. She is now trying to DIG her way out. And I don't think she has any water. My heart is breaking.

And speaking of things that make us sad, I believe I've ranted before about the festival of gut-wrenching sorrow that is The House of Mirth. Yeah, mirth indeed. I was reading The Necklace recently, and I couldn't stop feeling sad because the main character reminded me of Lily Bart (the unfortunate pride, the one mistake that forces her into poverty and out of society) except less likeable.
