I have had two terrible weeks.
1) Tuesday - 6:30 p.m. - My car fucking broke down. Of course all of this is AFTER i've driven 45 mins. from work, gone shopping, gone to the gas station, moved my car from the pump to the front of the store... I return and it won't start. MOTHER.FUCKER.
2) Tuesday - 8:30 p.m. - Buy new battery for dead car. Car starts... shuts itself off immediately. sonofaBITCH.
3) Wednesday - 1 p.m. - Car goes to shop, where apparently, they discover that there is NOTHING wrong with it. When the battery died, the car's internal computer freaked out and shut everything down. GOOD.
4) Thursday - 5:45 p.m. - Pick up car and soon realize that the theftlock on the radio (which prevents it from working if moved from my car) ALSO activated when car died. I CANNOT LISTEN TO MUSIC. NOT EVEN A CD.
5) Tuesday - 7:30 a.m. - Have had car for three and a half days... CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. Same check engine light that was on when the mechanic who did my car inspection & fuel system clean turned off because there was NOTHING WRONG with it ON JUNE 4th.
6) Tuesday - 6:15 p.m. - After fighting through a huge accident scene (which I TRIED to avoid - too bad Austin's roadways can't accomodate the number of people on them!) and taking 30 mintues longer to get to my neighborhood than usual, I go to dealership across the street... THEY CAN'T GET THE CODE OUT OF THE RADIO. NOTHING HAPPENS. MUST BUY NEW RADIO. (And I can guarantee that it won't be one made by GM.)
7) Tomorrow - Friday - 7:30 a.m. - Must be late to work so that I can take my car BACK to the shop so they can REALLY find out what the fuck is wrong with it this time. Hope that whatever it is can be fixed in a day because I really don't want to be driven around all weekend. Besides, I need that car so I can put a new radio in it. PIECE OF SHIT.
I know I'm lucky to even have a car. And it's not as bad as I say it is. It's mostly reliable in fact. In December, I will have had it for 5 years and this is only the 2nd major problem it's had. I didn't have a car for a long time (from after my senion year in HS until my junior year of college) though and I hated every moment of it. I just feel like I'm back in that position. And I wish this shit would not force me to keep dealing with it! Work, you bastard!
And I'm not getting enough sleep.
I keep telling myself that everything will be better soon.

Whoa! My truck went into the shop on Monday due to a crack in my radiator...anyway, when all was said and done it cost me about a grand!! Funny how the summer always brings on car troubles. Needless to say, Im now broke...cabbage taming only pays soo well.., I have also had severe sleep deprivation issues as well...Hope it sorts out for you soon!
