Lost Data Forever
I can't explain the sadness I have right now. I'm out of tears right now.
Two weeks ago my computer stop working. My hard drive was bad. Brian and another local place tried to retrieve my data. They couldn't. Then I sent it to a special place that takes the drive apart to rebuild it and retrieve the data. They too could not save all my photos. The disks were so bad. This loss is worse that all my bad break ups put together. I've loss over 5000 photos of my family back east during the holidays, my grandmother's funeral, 95% of all my travels and fun times with Brian, modeling pictures of myself when I was my thinnest and feeling the greatest about myself, my amazing and adventurous trip to Morocco, Spain and Portugal, time spent with my mother and so so many more precious memories. Yes, they are still in my heart and mind. But you all know what photos mean. It's a clean reminder of memories to really look back on. My heart aches so much, more than you may understand. I'm a deeply sentimental person.
All I can say is learn please from my mistake... always back up your data. Put them on external drives and DVDs. Digital age and computers are not forever.
