Only I would hurt myself the first day at 24hr fitness.
I was so amped about joining and toning up.
Im hoping it will help me feel better alround. Less stress, better sleep yada yada.
I only worked out for 20 mins on the damn cross trainer but I was blacking out and ready to faint after I stopped. I even did the cool down thing however my heart rate was over 180 and still over 140 after cooling down. MAN, Im out of shape. I dont get it, I can dance non stop for hours. Have sex for hours. But, put me on an exercise machine and I'll croak in 20 minutes.
Thats not how I hurt myself though. After I stepped down from the x-trainer I was embarrassed I was gonna faint so I sat down in to closest muscle machine...the thigh master one. I worked the inside and outside of my thighs. I left the gym feeling okay. A little nauseated, be ok.Yet, about 12hrs later I was starting to feel a strong pull in my inner thighs. A few more hours went by and I thought they were going to snap like a stretched rubber band. I could not get in any comfortable position. I was now in massive pain. I didn't go to the clinic to pay them to tell me what I already knew. I torn my inner thigh muscles, mainly my adductor longuses.
Some pain killers, ice and rest have me feeling like new. I just have to wait 2 weeks to work out again. I'll take it easy the next time
~~I almost forgot to mention, I actually passed my Patho exam. I didnt open that book once! The next exam I'll study and get an A

Be gentle with yourself at the gym. You are in great shape and don't need to push it too hard too soon.
