Josh and I have been talking about getting a tatoo. I thought we would get ours together. He has one I have none.
We went to Venice Sunday and 2hrs later he had a tat. I want a tatoo but I'm too afraid I'll find something better after. I don't want to have a lot of tats ever. Plus I can't figure out what I want. Then there is always the pain. I know it wont kill me.

I just got my first tattoo (something I've been thinking about for a long time... I even planned the design with an artist for over two months), but I'm not thrilled with it. It's not exactly what I wanted and now I have to consider how to "fix it up" to my liking.
Think it through carefully. Decide on a design (the outline, the color, everything) and don't budge from it. My mistake came in changing some major aspects of the design at the last second.
The experience of getting it was AWESOME, though. One of the best experiences in my life (and I'm squemish.) It's painful but in a very "initiating" kind of way and the endorphins kick in after a while and make it more bearable.
Good luck.
