I know exactly what you mean. I lost my dad when I was 18. He had just turned 54 years of age. We were very close, as I see you are with your dad. I still miss him.

I'm hoping for the best for you and your dad, as wel as for everyone else in your life.

It's a shame that your ex is not even acknowledging you. It's not the same as your situation, but I've just lost someone that I felt very close to (it's not my lady friend, it's someone I wrote to you about some time ago)). The worst part is that she hasn't responded to my attempts at contacting her if only to find out why she chose to end our friendship. I'm slowly putting her behind me, but it still hurts.

It's hard to make changes when there are important things weighing on your mind. It'll be easier once you get some relief from at least some of those things.

I can't believe all the people, young and old, that are struggling with finances. It's scary. It will take a lot of smarts and dedication by our next administration to help right the ship. I have hope that Obama is the person who can help turn our country around.

I think we all wish for someone to see us for who we are and still love us. If we are unable to see the good in ourselves...it is hard to believe someone is being sincere in loving us. You have a lot of angel in you amidst the humanity....the right person will find value in the whole package.

Awww. Well don't be too hard on yourself. For me it took the experience to help me make that personal rule of making breakups permanent.
