My mother's father's funeral was yesterday.
I sang Robert Burns' Ae Fond Kiss during the humanist ceremony at South Lanarkshire Crematorium.
All things considered, the day could not have gone better.

My aunt had organised a humanist ceremony earlier this year, it was one of the most emotional things I'd ever experienced. Not one mention of Gawd.
I hope the family is coping.
