November is concert month.
Seriously, I don't go to too many shows really. There are plenty of bands out there that I enjoy today, but rarely do any bands that market below the age of 50 ever play New Hampshire, or the timing for Boston shows is just bad for me.
But this November I'll be seeing at least two of my favorite bands, and possibly a third if Razlo can snag us tickets. Nine Inch Nails randomly added a Manchester NH show at the Verizon Arena, which is literally less then 10 minutes away from my house, and Razlo snagged tickets for us. Then, four days later, one of my favorite Japanese bands, Dir En Grey is playing in Boston, which I'm not going to miss this time around. It's not too often major Japanese acts tour America at all, let alone the east coast.
If all things work out as I hope, I may be seeing yet another one of my favorite Japanese acts, Polysics, in Boston as well. Here's hoping!
I just finished drawing a picture of Razlo's wedding that I'm very proud of and both him and his fiance (and his family, too), all really like it. That makes me feel pretty great. Now I've got to try to get back into the swing of things for I HEART Disappointment. Updates will be starting again hopefully soon.
Razlo and I are batting around ideas for another project, though I can't say much about that at this time.
I've been playing a lot of Rock Band 2. I really love the game. Though I kinda wanted to get out of the house today. I went out for a nice lunch with friends today, which was good. Then I came back and played Rock Band 2 all night. Sang until my voice blew out, then switched to guitars.
I have to say, I hate the fact that everything closes early on Sundays. I just wanted to go out tonight, but it was already after 7, and everything but fast food places, bars, and Wal-Mart close at 6 in this damn town.
I've been struggling with money these past few months. I wish I could find away to spend all that time I spend drawing and turn it into time I spend drawing and making money doing it. That would be awesome. I have no idea how I'm gonna handle heating costs this winter.
Gotta put my resume together. Have a couple leads that I'm praying will work out somehow. I'm so sick of working retail. I'm really looking forward to my vacation in October.
That's all I've got for today, my friends. See you around, ya?
