It's late, I have to work in the morning, but I really just want to go out and wander and find things to do and have fun. However, it's now extremely cold as winter has finally fully reared its ugly head, and the cost of heating is leaving me broke just in time for Christmas.
Just finished watching the Spike TV Video Game awards. My roommate got on TV for the second time in less then a month, as the company he works for, Harmonix, won Game Studion of the Year, so I'm proud of him, and profoundly jealous. Congrats, Razlo!
I've been filling out my music collection recently with older punk bands that I never really was exposed to back when I was a teenager. Never really had any friends back in the day to expose me to any of this stuff, and I was far too busy being a whiny little nerd to look on my own, so there's been just a ton of things that I've completely overlooked and finally getting a chance to enjoy.
My latest update to my website is up today. Check it out if you'd like. I try to update it every Sunday afternoon, and aside from one missed week and taking a holiday off, I've been hitting those goals. I really enjoy drawing comics as a hobby, but it would be absolutely golden if I could find a way to do illustration or design of some kind for a living. It's been hard finding any opportunities lately (or ever, actually).
Even though I just turned 27, everyone I work with seems to think that I'm WAY younger then I am. One of my coworkers laughed at me for talking about something that happened years ago at my job, saying that I was pretending like I was old or something. Of course, he didn't realize I've been with the company for 9 and a half years, several years longer then he has. Funny thing is, back when I was 18, everyone thought I was at least five years older then I actually was. I wonder if I'm regressing with age. Hmm.
Writing down that I've been working at the same soul crushing job for just shy of 10 years really makes me sad. I think it's about time I start taking my professional life a bit more seriously and make some fucking changes quick, before I'm stuck there forever.
Anyway, I've got to hit the sack. Don't know if anyone's actually reading this, but if you are, I wish you the best. Cheers.
