This be the month of action. The month where projects finally become completed as others start to blossom with possibilities. This could indeed be the month where the Cod Lolly name transcends my own purile creations and starts to become something solid; a name in which embodies so much more than some cheap urban artwork.
Whilst I've been busy working my ass off on corporate advertising (low-paid I might add) and council newsletters, my own private projects have slowly been coming off the ground. Firstly, I am nearing completion on one of three albums - this current one a twang, foot-stomping fuelled cocophony of raw, Billy Childish-eqsue blues sounds all made using a 1 guitar and a snare drum I made whilst watching Art Attack. And of course the odd bass and FX loop thrown in to give it a more professional sound otherwise it would be in danger of sounding like a band of chimps.......who've never had a music lesson.
Secondly, my friend Tom and I have completed two script collaborations now which we hope to go into production later this year. He has tied me into directing which I was more than happy to do - after all it's another notch to the aforementioned Cod Lolly name. I've also discovered a visual style which I'm really eager to try out and have since only been using in still photography, though hopefully it'll pass over just as well into moving image.
Thirdly (and lastly), I've met such friendly people on here so far, especially the ever flatteringly lovely AmyTron whom I can't help but feel obliged to add in here as she's made me realise that nice people can be met on here (I was dubious at first I must admit!). She is someone I hope to get to know better, however what I have so far has been charming, cute and all other niceities. Plus, having joined the 'Big Cuddly Boys' group, have discovered that there are gorgeous girls out there that prefer the larger sized guy like myself - something of which I was quite unsure about. Weird I know but I just couldn't get over that!
Anyway, for the end of my first proper lengthy, cider-fuelled blog entry, I'm gonna say THANK YOU. Just to everyone and everything. You can tell I'm pissed. x
