i've been out of sorts the last couple of weeks, which is interesting in some ways, because le and i both seem to be experiencing this thing where we look at our lives and try to decide what we want to be when we grow up.
i'm still in limbo, but i see some paths at the end of the tunnel - just don't know if i want to go right or left or straight ahead.
puce's house burned down. i think of all those people who have lost all of their family memories overnight, and it makes me very sad.
a few years ago nancy and i were on the phone after the oklahoma tornado, and there were a thousand people who lost their homes, so i said we should start a project - "1000 Quilts for Oklahoma" - and we did it, and we got like 600 quilts and sent them to those people who needed a family heirloom to begin again.
then we decided to do 1000 Dolls for Oklahoma, since i am a doll collector, and we got something like 700 dolls and toys for boys, too.
it was way cool, but i just don't think i have the energy to do 3000 quilts for California...
