mark and i both hate to live in hotels. when he left for georgia last sunday, i knew he'd have a place to rent before the end of the week, and i was right.
he wouldn't let me go with him to georgia, as he did not want me to argue with him about places to live. he found a cheap duplex that met the most important of my non-negotiable criteria - that he had to be within walking distance of a downtown area that had places to eat, a library, shops, etc.
unfortunately, he also rented a two bedroom, one bath place with no closets to speak of, no garage, and not enough room for the most basic of furniture we need to keep.
mark is happy about this, as it means he has an excuse to get rid of things it was not his idea to purchase. when it's his chance to toss things he didn't decide to buy, he is a force of nature. resistance is futile.
not only did he not allow me to choose the house (his excuse is that i chose the house here and have refused to sell it) - but now he says he won't take me back to georgia with him to deal with the packers.
his excuse for that is that the doctor said i mustn't get bruised on account of the internal bleeding problems with my platelet levels so low.
but, i swear, i think the real reason is that he KNOWS our stuff is not gonna fit, and he wants to be able to throw or give away everything he doesn't like before i have a chance to protest.
he forget that i am no longer passive on these matters, i may not scream or argue, but i am real big on retaliation. i will wait and see what he gets rid of, then i will start ebaying and goodwilling the stuff i don't like. i don't care if it's real wood or not.
woohoo, the entertainment center is about to leave the premises in exchange for the futon he is plotting to toss away in georgia.
