mark gave me the coffee can in the kitchen we have been filling with change for a year or so. then he got mad when i wouldn't let him take it to the supermarket and dump it in one of those machines that count it.
i wanted to roll it all up myself, and he was really perplexed as to why i would want to do that, and started yammering on about how i will never get it done before we move... that was two days ago.
today, when i didn't even have coffee in my brain yet, he grabbed my can and said he was taking it to the grocery store and i got REALLY furious and said "did you give me the can or not? if it's mine, then leave it alone."
he was hurt and kept trying to make me be "reasonable" about it, but i stood my five foot three against his 6 foot one and told him it was mine and he better leave it the fuck alone and he was perplexed and left it alone, and then i thought about it a while and this is what i did...
i rolled it all up except the pennies and told him he could take the pennies to the grocery store. this is because i realized that he was dying to play with the change machine and needed an excuse to do so.
i have ninety-two dollars in change.
oh, and if you want to look at my ebay stuff, the best one is the trent doll that already sold and my ebay id is invernessfl.

I like the process of rolling up change...theres something satisfying about the activity. Like shelling peas or something. And I think its so great you found a compromise that made you both happy. In short, I loved that story.
