Went Christmas shopping yesterday at Toys R US, and didn't find anything I was looking for. I wanted to get Anti Grav for my cousin, but I don't they sell it by itself, and he already has an EyeToy. Then I wanted to get this Nerf gun for my 5 year old cousin.
They were sold out though. I didn't see anything else that caught my eye. I checked a few other stores in the area to see if they had any small Christmas trees for my cube, but I didn't find any of those either.
I'll have to hit some other toy stores this week.
Speaking of stores, I just discovered they finally opened an Urban Outfitters here. I might go this weekend, and I might also hit The Garage. I need a new pair of jeans, a new jacket, maybe a new pair of shoes, and some other random crap. I love wasting money.

excerpt from "2004 toy fair's top ten strangest products" report:
Described as a "high velocity infrared racing system," Blade Racers represents an opus in the "toy race track" industry. This thing was unreal. They had the whole kit set up and in working order at Dynatech's booth, and as soon as they flipped the switch to let the little cars do their thing, the crowd grew enormous. Instead of the typical plastic tracks, Blade Racers uses clear tubes as the raceway for a couple of futuristic cars who absolutely blast through the track at speeds I've never seen a toy car hit before. The track itself is an impressive beast -- a huge series of clear tubes illuminated by LED lights, spanning several feet across and a few feet up in the air. Lord knows what kid would have room for something like this, but when a toy this cool comes along, you find a way to make room. Trust me, "Blade Racers" kicks the crap out of anything I've seen from Tyco or Matchbox. It's the race car set of the future!
I gotta get me one of these.
