Well, had a second round of interviews Friday, which went well enough that the head of HR emailed me to call her on Monday to discuss the next steps. Presumably that means we are officially into negotiations. It's going to take a bit to pry me out of academics, but this is an interesting company. Big enough (100-ish employees) and with enough income to be fairly stable and past the worst of the start-up madness, but small enough to still be a little loose.
