Last night,after my sister's college graduation, we saw Metallica: Some Kind of Monster.. I was curious to see what those guys were like, especially b/c sixfeetunder says that James Hetfield is a guy version of me (minus the alcoholism). After seeing the movie, I have to admit that I agree - sarcasm, anger & depression issues that have finally been addressed, passion, a need for control, etc. It sounds like it's mostly bad, but I really liked him. Those guys are characters! And the movie kicked ass.

Tonight I have to go to my sister's grad party at my mom's. I'm not really looking forward to it, but I have to be nice... and I want to swim at my mom's, so that might make it worthwhile. I'm just tired of having to give up so much of our free time to family stuff.

1) What's the first record/tape/CD you ever purchased with your own money?
Record: Roxy Music's Concerto - I bought it about a year ago, but I need a record player; Tape: Duran Duran's Seven & the Ragged Tiger in 3rd or 4th grade; CD: I think it was U2's Joshua Tree

2) What's the first DVD you ever purchased?
Mortal Kombat - There weren't many DVDs out at the time.

3) Who was your first celebrity crush?
Billy Idol - I didn't understand what I was feeling, but he made me feel weird in a good way.
