Green Day was amazing!!!!!
We got there at about 12ish to line up cause we had pit tickets and wanted to get as close as possible. There was some really annoying people there asking dumb questions to no one in particular. Like what times do doors open (it's on your ticket) Who else is playing (on you ticket) Do you think they will play so and so song? (Does it really matter what they play?) And some douche tool guy kept talking and talking about crap like his first concert was green day and this video means this and this song is for that (all his info was wrong and annoying)
So we finally get our wristbands and stand in another line to wait to get checked by security. And we are told not to run. They finally check us and let us into a hallway in another line and make us wait again to go into the forum. They finally let us in and we score spots right at the barricade, yay!!! And we don't move for the rest of the night. (well well we each take turns going to the bathroom before the crowd packs in, which it did really pack in.
8pm Franz Ferdinand plays and they are pretty enjoyable and lots of explosions going off. Then the roadies get all the stuff off and on for Green Day. Green Day goes on around 9:45pm. I screamed and cried for only one song this time (last time I cried through the whole thing and lost Chris in the crowd) He is the song that made me cry.
and now some other you tube goodness of last night
you can see us n this one^^^^ We are in front of the left board thingy on stage in front of the guard in blue
I danced and jumped and went crazy and screamed a lot and sang and no stupids ruined my night at all. Out of all 4 times I have seen them this was the best by far.
At around 12:15 Green Day stopped playing, over 3 hours of Green Day goodness so worth the money to see my fave band in the pit. So happy.
Chris took the day off today his knee hurts. I have a sore throat and arms and legs. I had killer leg cramps last night too. And I am really hot like I got burned, but I didn't cause i wore sunblock and stood under an umbrella while the sun was out. I highly recommend Banana Boat for kids and babies and sport versions all spf 50. I have only gotten minimal tan lines with these in a day full of sunshine.
I feel hungover today and feel like I look like hell. Smeary eye makeup greasy hair and a layer of crud on my body. But I took a few pics and don't look that bad.
