Since we got the kitty from Chris' work I have learned a few things. I don't like getting scratched and bitten by sharp kitty fangs and claws. And I really don't like hearing a meowing cat at night while I try to sleep. She has become an escape artist, she can climb out of her play pin and she does it all the time. And when she can't get out she cries. We can't figure out a way to keep her in there, we want her to stay in there cause of the dogs, and as a place to stay if no one is home. At night she sleeps in a cat carrier with her blankie and a mini litter box in our room.
I am so not a cat person, I thought maybe I would be. I like all animals but she is driving me insane. She really bit me hard the other day and my pointer finger is still in pain. It's hard to type and use the mouse. I don't know what to do, it's Chris' cat but he's at work for 8 hours a day. So I'm stuck with little Izzy. Even when the rest of my family is home they don't watch her they think it's cute that she can get out, and when she does get out they don't watch to see where she is. That's why we need the play pin in the first place to keep her safe. And when they are tired of watching her they hand her to me.
Ack I am so stressed over this, I don't want to take her to the pound. Plus she's not mine anyways. And everyone else has bonded with her and here I am annoyed by a little cat.
I might be ok if she'd stayed in her play pin, that's really driving me nuts. I don't want to watch her all day or hold her all the time. I need me time too and the play pin is supposed to give me/us that.
Update 5:44pm
I finally figured something out for her play pen, now her little house and litter box and toys are in there and she can't escape, yay! Such a relief. I'm still not a cat person but now I can handle it better. We do let her run a muck in our bedroom, and go explore the house with all 4 dogs following her. She loves to play with Chico and he likes her too and Molly the oldest/biggest is doing pretty good, I'm proud of her.
