Soooo, this is an odd post...
This is kinda a long story so I'll try to make it as basic as possible.
I'm supposed to deploy to Afghanistan in about 5 days. Well last month on the 13th I got into a pretty radical motorcycle accident. It was bad business but basically the Sun, Moon, and stars aligned for that shit. And it was my brand new bike that I got all smashed up. What happened was I was riding on the right and my friend Jason was riding on the left, I didn't realize that we were at where we were heading (which was dunkin dougnuts) and something caught my eye on the left side of the road so I started looking that way. Well when I looked my friend turned on his blinker and started turning. By the time I looked forward I was about to T-bone my friend. I hit both brakes and my front brakes locked up, causing my motorcycle to do end over end front flips. Luckily I rolled left and my bike went right. It didn't roll onto me which is good, because if it did I'm sure I would have died.
The first thing that made contact with me was my head and shoulder. My helmet got smashed and my shoulder was mostly unprotected, so it got pretty fucked up. Well previously I had been talking to this lovely female before the wreck, and we kinda stopped talking because she was going through a break up and didn't want me to have to deal with shit. Well while I was in the hospital I decided to call those important to me to let them to know what kind of medical calamity that I am...
Well I was rolling through my contact list and saw her number, so in my morphine stupor I decided to call her and let her know my dumb assery. Well she started talking to me about how shes missed talking to me and how she has been hiding away because she had been depressed... Well she said she wished she could see me. So I volunteered to go see her, she lives in Ottawa Canada by the way. Its only about two hours away... Anyways I went and saw her and I've seen here every weekend since. She is the most wonderful girlfriend I've ever had and things are really doing well...
Now for the bike...
It got pretty banged up, but what really sucked at first is that there was minor damage to the main frame. Which once the insurance found out totaled out the bike and paid off my loan. So I was talking to the mechanic and he said he could fix the frame damage for $300. So I bought back the bike from the insurance for $800. So I got a brand new bike for about $2900 after the buy back and repairs. Pretty good deal...
I'm doing really well right now, everything seems to be going upward. Which is good because I needed that change of pace.
I hope yous guys been ok, shits rough and theres no rest for the wicked...
