So I got word this weekend that I'm leaving for Afghanistan earlier than I thought. Instead of late January, we're leaving in November...probably before my 21st birthday too. I've started telling my friends and family about it and, not surprisingly, the reactions all pretty much lean towards the "WTF WHY!" school of thought. It means I'm gonna miss Thanksgiving, my sister's birthday, my uncles birthday, my cousin's birthday (there's a lot of November birthdays in my family) etc, etc. I still have to figure out how to tell the people at ROTC that I'm not coming back in the fall...or tell my friends from school that I'm not gonna be taking classes either.
On another note, this weekend at drill we spent a lot of time at the Salem Muster..it was pretty cool. There's a video slideshow that the local paper put together, I'm not in it specifically but there's pictures of my unit, as well as a bunch of the other units there.
More when I feel like writing again!

To quote a line from Band of Brothers, don't do anything stupid to get yourself injured, cause even if you're dead, I'll still kill you for screwing up. seriously, be safe when you go man.

It's more like I made the account for him and he was all okay... since you paid for it. However his second ever friends request was somewhat a horny freak so he got kinda scarred off by her blog... Now he is only going to friend people I am friends with....
