MEANDERING MEANING (LESSNESS????)
So, for the first blog (ever, anywhere), it's just this: I had a minor epiphany/ revelation/ call it what you will on the drive to work yesterday. I was thinking of something from my past that I still haven't let go of, something that still has negative feelings/ associations attached to it, when it struck me (at the most convenient time) that I (and only I) have the power to consciously direct my thinking towards a more productive end... i.e. every moment I spend dwelling on the past and what I may or may not have done wong in any given situation is a moment in which I am not focusing on doing the "right" (or most beneficial, most efficient, etc.) thing in the present. Perhaps this sounds a little overly thought-out for something that should be obvious, but often times the seemingly "simple' or 'obvious' things are occluded and obscured from us by our own associations and thought processes. So, yeah, focus and effort producing real, tangible results... the power of positive thinking... okay, that's all for now.
And yes, I realise that analysing our mistakes is one way in which we learn from them, I'm more refering to learning to let go/ move on...
Also, I picked up an extra shift on my day off today for a co-worker who's been feeling ill. But now, after working with him for the past two days, I'm starting to feel a little congested/ scratchy throated... I must remember to thank him
