ok so I misspoke when I said it had been 1 1/2 years since I was on, I went and did some digging and it had only been 11 months. either way I'm back.
starting to look at putting together a new computer starting with a new monitor went pricing them yesterday and found a few that I like in th $200 price range for 19" then I saw a CHIMEI brand 22" for $219 might end up getting that one after all, little bigger then what I originally wanted but for the price i might as well get it.
I have to rave a bit about something here, before my son was born the girlfriends aunt had some people in her AA group if anybody had baby furniture on the cheap. and much to our surprise on lady did. all we had to do was come and pick it up. so I borrowed a truck and went to get a dresser, a crib, and an armiore. I get there and a guy from th travel channel [ Andrew Zimmern] was there he and his wife had re-decorated there sons room and the stuff they were giving us just didnt match the decor anymore. now at this point I was expecting mismatched and crappy but hey its free, he opened the garage and to my surprise this stuff was almost brand new. he said they only used it for about 5 months. after getting it home and inspecting it closely it turned out to be in great condition and it matches. then about a week later while shopping at a local baby store [clothes and toys and such not babies] i saw they carried this stuff and it sold for $2600 for all the stuff we got. I am actually a bit jealous of the furniture my son now has. we sent a thank you card and a christmas card to them, it was way too kind of them to give us this stuff. I then turned around and gave to my boos my leather recliner for free since we no longer had room for it. he was happy too......
so what happened good to you recently? care to share?
