if mom'd made it 10 more weeks, friday would have been her birthday. 
she was kind and patient, and much wiser than i knew. 
i guess i have to figure out a better way to approach my younger bro and sis, so they'll accept the help they would've accepted from her. but friday still won't be a great day.
