I've known my best friend for nearly twenty years. I'd like to say I saw this coming. You'd think someone who'd known a person for such a length of time would. This is the nature of my dilemma.

I don't, either. I'm an atheist, and thus don't believe in an afterlife, so I'm not living for reward after I die.

I was just spinning Stevie Wonder (Fulfillingness' First Finale, specifically), whom I love and who loves God quite a lot himself. I do have a weird jealousy for those who are secure in their faith which gives them real joy and contentment. It's a small jealousy, though; I'm just as secure in my perspective and find it quite comfortable to behave in accordance with my moral code without God.
