i have been recording new reasons to sleep on my trusty nagra reel to reel. i have used the well lit hallway and the wirey staircase. this musicmaking has become my dream maker. and this guitaring is teaching me to sleep and see things far more beautiful than this little mind alone in this retarded world could. i still dream of snow and silently moving icebergs. last night i saw a tiger in the sand pawing at a fish that was caught on an antarctic shoreline. the fish got away. the icebergs clinked in the bay. my ears were swollen with sound. what is it with ice and sound? can you tell me?
albertine:
there's no need for a camera to record what your eyes can already see, as there's no need to make a music that re-produces exactly sounds that already exists. our senses capture reality in a way that doesn't have to be confused with the perception of the peculiar universe you can find in one image.
