Ok, so I'm a horrible friend and I don't spend enough time reading people's blogs and keeping in touch, I'm sorry!
On that note, this is why I haven't had the time or energy necessary to do these things.
Aside from the normal monotony of work and other such fun, a good friend of mine came home from his third tour in the sandbox a few weeks ago and is only in NM for a few weeks before he goes back to Cali to discharge and then start school. His name is Robert and he's got to be one of the most charismatic, likeable, and interesting individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, which is why its hard not to hang out with him as often as possible. Plus he usually buys all the drinks. (He loves NM because the bar tabs are ONLY about $75 on average!) Either way, my girlfriend Jen, robert and I (and a few others) have been partying like the alcohol supply in the world is running out and we simply MUST get our share. Sadly, I'm getting too old for this shit.
In completely unrelated news, I'm not quite sure if I already bragged about this (probably not, and if so here it is again!) but that amazing aforementioned girlfriend Jen is officially going to UNM's MFA program this fall, so yay!
So yeah, it has been one huge haze for a while, but soon I'm sure I shall return to spending more time sillhouetted in my monitor's warm glow, and hopefully I'll catch up with you wonderful people. And since hardly anyone reads this, I'm also going to take it as an opportunity to invite a few of you to the next gathering we end up at, which will be either on a Wednesday or Saturday (if he's in town long enough) and probably at Sneakerz or the Distillery... if you're interested let me know!
Till then,
Ciao
