Well, two things really. The first being I think I'm a little bit shocked/disgusted with myself on my ability to internalize things given a relevant time alone.
Secondly, I've been fascinated with sculpture as of late. Don't ask me why, but something about working with three dimensions instead of just a canvas is really appealing to me right now. You mini-psychologists can dissect that if you want. Anyways, I've had a "eureka" moment and thought of a fantastic sculpture I want to bring into existence. Being the stereotypical pretentious artist here, but if I could fully develop and display this how I want, it would be in a museum (or may be already. nothing new under the sun and all). Well, maybe not a museum but it would definitely be something respectable.
The damn catch is that I first need to pick up some major skills in figure drawing/sketching/design. I haven't really done a true sculpture since highschool and have no idea as to what I need. While I'd eventually like to make an actual full scale statue of my idea, bronze/copper/concrete just isn't feasible right now obviously. I assume clay is the proper medium but is it possible to do something that would be the size of a desktop computer? Too costly & how permanent? I assume wood would be out since it would be hard to get detail that small and if I screw up there isn't a way to "erase" the damage.
now I'm rambling so I'll sign off. Oh, and playing the part of a pretentious artist again, I won't tell you what the idea actually is.
