I hate house hunting. Staying with my best mate out in the Hills was always meant to be short-term and the commute is killing me. I hate commuting and have always structured my life to avoid it.
I've decided to move into share accommodation rather than get my own place due to my concerns about the longevity of the company I work for. No point signing onto a 6 month lease and then finding yourself unemployed two months in. It is the first time i have been through the share house interview process in a decade.
You find yourself asking all sorts of questions in your head; do they want a woman? do they want a man; do they want someone young? older? more lively? less lively? more professional; less professional? And on and on it goes.
I've seen two nice places so far; one in Chatswood and one in Greenwich. Both nice, relaxed places, but no idea if i will get either of the. I'm fairly sure that the Chastwood place is a no goer; the two women living there would prefer another woman I think, but i could be wrong
The place in Greenwich is owned by a psych; seems a nice bloke, but he presently has two gorgeous young and female flatmates. Hell who wouldn't if they could! I doubt that a scrawny late thirties geek really compares
Hopefully i will find something soon. Getting up at 530hrs to get to work now it is getting cold is really not much fun. I don't mind the cold once i am up, but getting out of warm bed just to go to work is really hard work
