so i saw some bullshit news story about an islamic bookstore seeling books that "teach terrorism and promote jihad". now i'm not islamic (despite my last post) but since when can a nation ban books and harass bookstore owners because they sell something that doesn't fit with it's christian right policies? can i go out and buy mein kampf by adolf hitler? yes. can i buy steal this book by abbie hoffman? yes. i can even get the anarchists cookbook. so why the fuck can't i buy a book that promotes these specific ideals? cos it's topic'o'the month in the corporate media and sensationalism sells! would anyone out there actually listen to these lying fucks and boycott or harass these law-abiding citizens because of some bullshit story? i fucking hope not. for humanities sake.
and what the fuck? an innocent man shot in london? an innocent brazillian electrician shot in london that's right. a 'terror suspect' shot in the fucking subway. ok ok so it must be pretty fucking crazy over there. everyone must feel vulnerable and scared. i fucking would. but surely after an attack like that in a multi-cultural city like that there must be PLENTY of 'terror suspects' and you can't fucking execute them all... and it was a fucking execution. he was just running. i would run if there was big motherfuckers running after me with GIANT guns. i would run my lily white ass off. i would run until my legs were stumps. and thats what he did. so they shot him. fucking cunts.
and what is with the state of new movies? sorry... i shouldn't say NEW movies. the only movies coming out of any of the big studios for the next year or so are a) remakes b) sequels c) optioned comic books and just horrible disney movies. independent production companies are the only fuckers with the balls to try anything new. and god bless them. cos if i see one more waste of good film (or hard drive space) then i am going to have to start hunting executives.
