The day has come. My new housemate for the year has convinced me to go to the gym with him.
I've never used a gym before, and have never wanted to. I've got issues with people and body image, so I've always had the horrible image of a room filled with judgement, jealousy, insecurity. Although my housemate insists that none of that exists inside gyms, I'm still skeptical. I'll likely just sit on a bike for an hour while he does his circuits.
I know I need this though. Now I'm a student I'm burning so much less energy than when I was boatbuilding, and it's gonna cause issues pretty fast. I'm already feeling majorly lethargic, and my mental health is due to deteriorate any week now, so the sooner I get in there and just start doing it the better.
