Hang on for this one kiddies.
Friday
Left work at 3:30 to go and watch my little fifteen year old cousin perform in her band. There were a total of twelve bands playing in just a few hours. All were pretty much rock n roll and a lot were pretty darn good for kids ranging from 7-16. It is a camp for kids that don't always fit into the mainstream and have different interests. Oh yeah it is called Day Jams. Totally cool and she has been attending for four years now. She was a great guitar player I might add.....hmm...wonder who she is related too....maybe.....ME!! From there we went to a good little Mexican place in Baltimore and had the best chimi ever. In fact it was so big I am eating it right now. Good to spend time with my aunt and cousin. They are both great people and I like spending time with them. Also got a copy of my late uncles doo wop band from the late fifties and early sixties. Been wanting a copy for a long time because they were kind of good. Just a party band when he was in college. Have I mentioned he was a awesome man also. He did so much in his short life.
Saturday
Got up and went to lunch with the boss man. He is actually a good friend and we share a lot of interest (i.e. old music and old cars). We went to Lou and Joes for lunch and saw an explosive family fight. Lots of screaming and name calling. Hate to say it but I was listening and intrigued. Kind of chucked too. Ok so it seems I still have my box seat in hell reserved for a while yet. After the interesting, but really good lunch I went for a motorcycle ride. Fun as always. After that...the Frederick Blues Festival. Really great time except they only had Budweiser beer.....yuck! So it was Mountain Dew and Jack. Not much better than Bud,, but better. Great bands and really found a new one I liked a lot....Little Charlie and the Nightcats. Upright bass......hair slicked back and rockin good blues sounds straight from the 50's. Bought a cd and a t-shirt. Then I was driven home. Forgot to mention the lady at the bank made a mistake. She put in my account number as the amount of deposit I made. So according to my slip I have over 51 million in the bank right now. She changed it, but I hung on to the receipt. Conversation piece.
Sunday
Woke up went to Ruby Tuesdays and had a turkey burger wrap w/brown rice and a couple of beers. Bought a new pair of gym shoes and a few pairs of gym shorts. Going again three times a week instead of "every once in a while" starting tomorrow.
That is it. Pretty boring and vague, but I am in a blah mood today. Can't help it. The roommate gave me two brand new cds today....he said he got them over ten years ago. The damn things aren't even open. They are a Debbie Gibson (shut up!!!) and The Beavis and Butt-Head Experience (some good stuff on it)....his lost.
