I'm back, so to speak.
A lot has happened the last month. Hard to believe it's only been a little over a month.
Lark, is as expected, very intense. I'm getting my ass handed to me just about every day, but I'm getting better each day, learning from mistakes. It's a struggle, it's hard, but it's exactly what I want to be doing. I'm meeting some amazing industry people, and making connections that will last for some time.
Sad things have happened too. Our good friend Ben died. He was found dead on the floor of his apartment after Cameron (my room mate) and Brittany went to the police to do a wellfare check on him, he had been missing for 6 days. It was a shock to all of us. He has diabetes, which none of us knew how bad it was. It appears to be he just got sick, and went into a diabetic shock. It's..still hard. We're all having a hard time. We all got together the day of his death at the Bit and shared stories, and cursed his name. We held a memorial service which..was awkward for various reasons.
Now, after finally starting to recover, the stranger hits the streets, and the I,Anonymous is about him, from his girlfriend. No one knows who she is, and we've all wanted to talk to her. She spent the last moments with him, and we're all very confused on what happened exactly..
Other good things have happened. The Prima retreat. Oh, god that was fun. All of my old coworkers and I went into the woods way the fuck up in skykomish. Lots of drinking, lots of Foie gra, and overall merriment. It was kind of epic actually. Just a bunch of friends having a good time.
I've got my calf tattoo piece started as well. It's in full swing, and itching like crazy. The outline is done and we've got most of the shading done. I go in more in early November for colors. It's gonna be fun.
So that's life in a nutshell. It's been a crazy blur of work and fun times. I've been making friends with bartenders, I know all of them by name at Quinns, and enjoying meeting new people. It's quiet fun walking home at night meeting strangers, going out with coworkers for some wacky nights, and sitting alone at a bar chatting with the bartender.
Cheers

If you frequent Shorty's, you should hang out with Adalae and I sometime!
