I do a quick check of the progress on the Mars Rover every day. As a kid who grew up spending weekends at the U.S. 30 Drag Raceway outside Chicago (and listening to those classic SUNDAY!! SUNDAY!! radio promos), I thought it was amusing that the rover has now covered the quarter mile in just a whisker over 52 Sols!
Not exactly what Big Daddy Don Garlits could do in a double-A fuel rail, or even what Maverick Golden used to manage in his Little Red Wagon that we watched back in 64, but an admirable run for the crew at JPL, nonetheless.
