Let me start with a little background info on this one...
NOTE: THE NAMES HAVE BEEN CHANGED TO PROTECT THE INNOCENT. AND BY INNOCENT I MEAN FUCKING STUPID!
We have these two residents, we'll call them Karen and Jane. Karen is a busy-body, nosey, chronic-note-writing FREAK! We have her whole file in the office FULL of all her colorful little "reminders." She likes to "stretch the truth" (until its in pieces!) when ever she complains. She drops letters in our night slot at least once a week. Everytime I see one her love letters on the floor in the morning I want to
.
Jane is a resident we have that is also nutts, but harmless nutts. She was in the military and had been injected with something she was extremely allergic to and it made her have a stroke and now she's filthy rich (government trying to cover up) and mildly retarded. She has a new car like every month becuase she wrecks into poles and the like with every car she gets.
Now, these two are arguing over a parking spot. We do not have assigned parking on the property and there are two handicapped parking spots near both of their apartments. (They live across the hall from each other on the first floor.) Jane is the only one who has a handicapped plate. And everyone knows that ONE of the spots is Jane's spot. The other one we have deemed first come first serve. To ANYONE. Handicapped or not because we have no other handicapped resident living on the property. Karen's only handicap is that she a fucking ignorant old hag with no life that LOVES a little drama. They put notes under each other's mats and on each other's cars. The latest thing was a note taped to Jane's door that read, "Dont Fuck With Me!" in blue marker. I wonder who it was from...
To add to the sting of this act, the owner was walking the property that day. Heh.
I get this note, on yellow paper and in glitter blue gel ink:
Dear [Manager],
I know I told you that I would not complain about the extra handicapped spot anymore, but I do have a legitimate complaint this time that I have to tell you about.
(All the other complaints weren't legitimate, she admits it!)
For one thing, I got another note on my car this morning that you told me to throw away when I get them, and I do simply throw them away. ( I KNOW who's writing the notes, [Manager's name])
(We've never actually SEEN these notes as she's been throwing them away from the get-go)
Jane's girlfriend's white van was parked in the extra spot for over 6 days without being moved at all. I know what they are trying to do now--reserve the spot if you understand what I mean. (The girl does not live here in the complex and pay rent to park in the extra spot to begin with it!)
(Her and her girlfriend were on vacation and we were notified of her presence in the apartment for the 10 days residents are alotted with out adding someone as an occupant to their lease, therefore she was technically, TECHNICALLY, a temporary resident as a guest of Jane's)
Like I told you, I only park there when I come home late & both spots are taken--the other by Jane's girlfriend!
I saw an old lady this morning walking with a cane while Jane's girlfriend was parked in the spot that the lady with the cane should have been able to park there herself. (I think the lady does live here, or her daughter does, I'm not sure.)
(OLD LADY WITH A CANE?! Dear lord give me the strength not to rip my eyeballs out!)
Some of the tenants, two of them, complained to me about the situation the other day and one said she was going to write you but I dont know if she did yet! (Believe me, its NOT just me.) Only paying tenants should be able to park there, 1st come first serve like you told me!
("Like you said huh ma! Right, like you said!")
To tell you the truth, (She's FINALLY going to tell us the truth right? Read on
and I know that I am only hurting myself, but if this situation continues to happen, then no one should be able to park in the other spot. I do not think it is fair to the tenants who live here and pay to live here. (But I remember what you told me what you will do if you keep getting complaints.)(Its just not fair, *stomps foot*)
Is there anyway that you can tell Jane's girlfriend that only tenants can park in the spot? (That is the fairest thing that I can think of.)
Please let me know. I am sorry and I'm not taking it out on you, but it is really wrong and I think something should be done.
