If anyone was watching Much On Demand on friday, I was on it. Backrow Records got tickets to it and was in the background with our shirts and one of the guys in my class one some stereo system. I'm also in some of the Much On Demand commercials running through the week, so check for me, I'm right on the back riser wearing a black hat and the black and white Backrow Records shirt.
Some asshole stole my iPod. Buy me a new one?
I ran Buskerfest again, we made about $200 for the MusicBox Children's Charity. We also ran a live to air concert on my radio show featuring The Kent Boys and Daydream Theory. But with Buskerfest I learned that bad luck comes in 3's. First, our headlining act The Kent Boys had an unfortunate accident when one of their band members drove into a ditch with all their equipment. The other 2 came in and played with some extra instruments they had there though. Then another act, Doug Hell, missed his first set because his girlfriend burnt her face. Yeah. So I thought it ended well after all that but then I found that my iPod was missing. Totally ruined that day for me. It was an 8 gig Nano.
I havn't been around much eh? I dunno what to say. I'm better at answering questions than stating things I guess. But I'm obviously great at complaining.
From what I've been hearing, I'm pretty much going to be the new president of Backrow. That should be sweet. And we're probably gonna start signing an act or 2 when I start. So if anybody has any independant demos to either be considered for signing to our label and getting a subsequent distribution and development deal or to at least be played on my radio show (The Backrow Radio Show, Wed @ 5-7pm on www.theriotradio.com) then either talk to me or go to www.myspace.com/backrowrecords and get the mailing address to send in your demos.
