NATALIE GARCIA CD RELEASE SHOW THIS SATURDAY!
I can't figure out how to size the picture right, but it's Saturday June 10th @ Velvet Elvis, Oshawa. Cover is $5 though you can pay what you want really.
And her website is www.nataliegarcia.ca
I'll be playing this Saturday with The Natalie Garcia Band. Anyone in the GTA who is interested in showing up, please do, it would mean a lot to Natalie and the rest of the band.
You don't understand the stress this cd has caused for everyone recently. Our keyboardist and other bass player were stalling on the recording so we had to give them the big F-U. We found another keyboard player and she finished writing and recording the song in like 2 days. So I swooped in with a bass line that I wrote the other day at 5 am when I couldn't sleep all night again. I ended up recording 3 more bass lines yesterday too. A very great friend reprinted the cd booklets to exclude the names of the keyboardist and other bass player and upgraded to a better quality paper, that was very nice of him. But we're still in crunch time, Nick has to come home from work tonight at 5 and work tirelessly on editing and mixing. I told him to call me for any help he may need too. And then there's actually burning the cd's, we have like 4 computers doing this. Then we're gonna have a cd stomping party and stomp on the cd stickers and fold the booklets. But it's crunch time and everyone's stressed as fuck. Even I am, though I don't have much else to do with it. I'm just empathic toward Nick and Natalie's near mental breakdowns. I brought them some comfort food of caramel kit kats.
ANYWAY!
I havn't been up to much lately, some chick on the bus hit on me and asked me to come to the dungeon on friday. I might show, who knows.
At work Jeff asked me if I wanted to be a line cook eventually. Let's see how long this will take to happen.
I had a closing shift on TUesday which means I should be done at 1am but I totally dominated those dishes and I was out at 10:30 because I had so little to do it made more sense to send me home. Overall 6/6/06 was a good day.
July is fast approaching and with July comes lots of work. I'll be doing that movie soundtrack. Also I'll be running a music camp during the week for 3 weeks from like 9-3 and then work at Montanas in the evenings. No rest for the bassists.
