Things are feeling kinda shitty atm. I've been slapped in the face (metaphorically) twice by my friends in a matter of about 24 hours. I keep being there for my friends, offering great advice, and bending over backwards to make sure they are okay. I think thats the main aspect of friendship; to be there no matter what. But recently i get used and then discarded when they are fine. I've become a pushover, and i need to grow some balls.
Its horrible, i have gone out of town to stay with a friend and get her back on track. But whilst i was there, i spent around 6 hrs with her (i was there for 2 days ans 2 nights). In one case i was in a room alone for 4 hours, whilst she went to speak to her girlfriend. i couldn't leave cos it was uni halls, and i would be locked out. Later i was left in a room with strangers, then locked out, and had to go knock on her window, to let me in... all cos she was on the phone >.<. I've been on the phone to her recently, and have finally sorted out a few days for me to go round to her house, but alas, when i call today to ask about timing, i get told she is out of town, and maaay be back. I think i need to just be straight with her, and say if she really really wants my help she needs to come get it, instead of use me at convenient times.
Last night, i went out with my boyfriend and friends to a pub, and my friend (not the same girl) came to join us, she came incredibly drunk, and instead of having conversation would just smirk and dance around. Of course this didn't last and she somehow ended up crying loads, everyone was worried about her. She seeked for my help and i gave it to her, with open arms, i helped her, and advised her on how everything will be okay. Later on, we go back to a friends house and somehow she is perfectly fine again, and has no respect for my friends, their house or me. This happened on my birthday aswell.
This is a big rant, and probably to others doesn't seem worth it. But all these repeated scenarios are making me question my friends and they commitment to my friendship. Are they just using me? Do i tell them how i feel? Or shall i carry on being a 'good friend' and take it how it comes?
Anyways, im on holidays for 2 weeks, and have managed to catch a cold, which fits comfortably with my hayfever .
Hope everyone is as joyful as meeeee! Ohh and happy Easter!
