I had my prosthetic assessment yesterday and it went pretty well! I had two hours to apply and colour everything and I managed to get all of it done, although I wanted to airbrush down on to the chest more and add some more moss. My character was supposed to be menacing however my model ended up looking like a creepy camp goblin haha.
There's room for improvement of course but I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Usually I'm a bit stressed during assessments, but I actually really enjoyed the whole process, I think it confirmed my desire to work as an SFX artist more than anything else.
I took the initiative to film the assessment, so I'm going to speed it up and use it as a time lapse of the transformation. I have to wait until Monday to start editing it as I left half of the footage at uni. I'm so excited to put it up on my website, I think it will be really interesting to see how it all comes together.
