these are my rules, and when the back piece is finished, there will be one symbol per rule down my spine.
1) family first, no questions, no hesitations. without family you are less than nothing. they are your first duty. defend those you can, avenge those you failed.
2) the will is a lie. there are only nonor and responibility. duty is heavier than a mountain, death lighter than a feather. your word is your bond, break it and it will break you. avoid promises and oaths, but once sworn, do as you must or die in the attempt.
3) there is no knowledge that is not also power. in the moment that understanding is gained, you have power.
4) honor your enemies, for you can learn much from them. only the enemy will show you your weaknesses and strengths. the enemy is the only true teacher in war.
5) avoid compromis, unless to achieve a later advantage. comprose makes you less, and gives strength to the opposition. you must learn to rely on instinct in situations where compromise might be encountered.
6) do not trust to theory or abstraction. you have not survived for as long as you have on theory. let your instincts and intuition guide you in all matters. but do not fall prey to superstition of any sort, for this is worse than weakness. trust only in those people and things which are proven.
