HAPPY BIRFDAY TO MEEEEEEEEEE!
Let's not make this harder than it has to be....everything is on you now.
I told you I would get someone else in there, and I am...and it's getting a lot closer to it being Em on April 1. That's just a matter of her paying off her lease, ending it, moving, and CJ drawing up a sublease for it all.
What I meant was, everything else is on you now. As in, the way you act for the remaineder of the transition. You said you'd come clear out the rest of your stuff sometime last week, and clean. You didn't. Don't blame it on work. It doesn't take that long. I work 65 hours a week and still find time to do things.
You said you'd bring back my things when you did the above...obviously, you haven't done that either....
How am I to not know that you're going to just up and bail out on me, when this is all I see coming from your end? You've still got responsibilities to take care of. If I were you, I'd make sure all of those things were done in a timely, respectfully, manner.
I don't owe you anything beyond replacing your name on the lease. You owe me and the apartment a lot of things. It was YOUR choice to move out before we had anyone else to move in. That makes you responsible for rent, and utilities. And we've agreed that you only have to pay electric up until the day you moved out totally. I think that's pretty generous on my part, because as of now, as far as I and the law is concerned, you are still an 'occupant' of that apartment. Maybe if you cleaned up, got the rest of your stuff, and handed me-in person-your keys, I'd think different.
As I said, I will keep you informed as to when Em will be moving in, and until the day she does, you are responsible for rent. If she isn't able to move in April 1, then you must pay, and if she moves in a week later, she will reimburse you for the days of that month she will be there. You owe me electricity, ASAP...as in....by March 28th. That's one week from today and plenty of time for you to come up with $52.90.
The days in the electric billing cycle are from 2-14 through 3-15. That's 29 days, and the total for those days is $153.53. You 'moved out' on March 6. That's 20 days. Dividing $153.53 by 29 days, is $5.29 a day, multiplied by your 20 days is $105.80, and that divided between the two of us is $52.90. Therefore, you owe only $52.90 by March 28th, so that I have time to mail it in time. If you would like a copy of this bill I can give it to you. But I think it's pretty laid out right here.
If you want...you can give me the rent plus electricity. That's $382.90. But I want them both by March 28th. Or, you can just give me electricity and pay rent yourself-but I want you to let me know that you have turned in your portion so that I don't have to worry about it. I would also like you to hold up your end of the bargain, and have your stuff cleaned out, and your room cleaned by this weekend. That includes bringing back my dvd's and broom and handing over your keys to me-in person. You know how to find me, just call my cell phone if i'm not home, and bring them to wherever I am.
I will keep you updated as soon as I know about Emily. I've gotten CJ to send me a copy of the application, which she's filled out, and will be handing in. For now, please keep up your end of the bargain.
