daphne (my rat) had to go into surgery today. last night we were playing around and i grabbed her tail and instead of playing around like normal, she got scared and bolted and i held on and the skin on the back half of her tail came off. all the muscle was exposed and it was all bloody and gross and i felt (and still feel, actually) so horrible. i couldn't sleep and almost cried. she was up all night whimpering . i took her to the vet today and they're amputating that part of her tail. hold: they're calling right now.


.....she's fine!! i can pick her up in an hour!
