Hey everyone,
I do hope everyone is well. It seems to be warming up a bit here. We have been in the 40's here for the past couple of days. I can't wait for Spring to arrive. I know it's still early March, and that we can still get some substantial snow around here, but I can still hope!
I had a pretty weird week. Monday I was in downtown NYC setting up new offices for my company. It was so great! I really enjoyed it and realized that I do miss the city a lot. I'm not sure if I will ever move back there, but just being there was so invigorating! And the food was awesome!!!
Later in the week, back in beautiful and exciting Albany, I had an embarrassing moment, although no one else knew. I was walking through the student lounge when I overheard a student say that the only thing that they were 100% sure of was that they were 100% lesbian. Well, of course, this caught my attention. When I looked to see who said it I saw some dude sitting on the couch. My first reaction was "What a dick!", but then my paranoia kicked in and I though maybe he was making a crack about me, so I was a little pissed now. When I turned and looked again the dude was standing up and I noticed from his boobs that it wasn't a dude at all, it was a very butch girl. I think I turned red as a tomato! I was so embarrassed. I am glad that I didn't say anything. It just goes to show you, or should I say me, that gaydar is a myth. At least for me it is.
Okay, I think it's time for boobies.
And, with permission, here is one from the love of my life. Although I am now pissed at my Teddy for cheating on me!!!
I am still loving Netflix! We have been able to watch so much stuff lately. Good and bad. Some of the movies are great, and others make me feel so happy that I didn't waste my money going to the theater to see them.
Now comes the dreaded poetry section of my blog. So run quickly if you want to survive! I really do hope you like my writings. But, anyways, here goes.
True to Self
Refocus
Re-evaluate
Come back to center
And remember
That who you are
Is not what you are becoming
That what makes you who you are
Is your integrity
Your spirit
Your desire for good
Your consistency in faithfulness
Your determination
What makes you who you are
Is not the cloak that a society of fools
drapes over your shoulders
That heavy burden that gets caught up
And twisted, and trips you up when you
Move toward success or progress.
Remember
Go back to your center
And lift off the cloak
It provides no warmth or protection
What does, is knowing who you are
beneath it.
And Beneath it
You have succeeded not as others think you have
Instead, in your own way, in your own heart, and in your own journey.
Be grateful in that, and dont forget it.
Be gracious in that, and dont regret a damn thing.
And if you have to move on, have confidence in doing so.
Remember who you are reconnect with the center of your spirit
And have faiththats your strength.
Pancakes
as that batter hits the pan
no sugar plums dance in my dreams.
it is all the golden fluffy goodness
of those hot cakes.
Make them buttery! or Syrupy!
Or if you are feeling the health nut
make them covered in fruit.
If the child grabs at your heart-stings
make them with chocolate chips
and whipped cream.
Roll up some succulent bacon, sausage
or potato in its middle.
Hot or cold.
Young or old.
Pancakes in the morning sun.
Pancakes in the moon glow.

It seems like Teddy is in a great place, having both you and Kelli! And now I will think of pancakes a little differently...
